California Covid Watch List Rules. Every county in california is assigned to a tier based on its test positivity and adjusted case rate for tier assignment. To get off the state’s watch list, counties must not trigger any one of the above thresholds for three consecutive days.
There are exceptions to the rules, however. In october california governor gavin newsom unveiled authoritarian thanksgiving covid rules which prohibited more than 3 households from gathering. The number of counties on the watch list changes frequently.
