Bear Attack Cades Cove. Despite issuing a news release Wednesday that said the National Park Service had euthanized a male bear. Visitors driving on Cades Cove Loop Road parked their cars and watched around 3 pm.
Saturday as the mama bear appeared in tall grass walked toward. Visitors stop along the road in Cades Cove to view a bear in October 2012 in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In 2018 a bear was found scavenging a mans body about 2 miles from Cades Cove but an autopsy found the man had died due to a methamphetamine overdose with the bear finding the body after it was dead.
The park recorded 650180 vehicles on the Cades Cove.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park officials have closed Spence Field Shelter after an apparent bear attack on Tuesday.
