On our first visit it seemed everyone was stopping for photo opportunities of the ocean the little beach huts in Amber Cove and their own cruise ship. Being one of the best beaches in the Dominican Republic Maimon beach is easily accessible from Amber Cove and its about a 20-minute walking distance. Amber Cove itself has no beach but there is an accessible nearby the beach near Amber Cove is excellent for children since the water is low and without waves very relaxing it is not a very visited beach so the atmosphere is very quiet to access the public beach next to it you have to leave the port and walk about 20 minutes. I would recommend Costumbar Beach a short cab ride to a nice beach and the driver stayed until we were ready to go.
