As recent as two weeks ago the FBI began investigating the already banned cover for the Scorpions album Virgin Killer which was released in 1976. It was changed to a fiery cocktail glass. The original cover featured a nude prepubescent girl which stirred controversy in the UK US and elsewhere.

Lovedrive was a major evolution of the bands sound which exhibited their classic style that would be later developed over their next few albums. Coupled with the album title the cover was extremely controversial and was replaced with a photo of the band.
